How often does electrical wiring need to be checked for safety?

Electrical wiring should be checked every 10 years in homes, and every 3–5 years in commercial buildings. In Central, LA, our inspection follows an NEC-compliant checklist and covers wiring, outlets, breakers, and grounding to flag hazards and code issues. After storms, renovations, frequent tripping, or in homes over 40 years old, schedule sooner. Big Family Care members receive a whole-house electrical safety inspection each year, plus priority service and extended warranties.
